A wayward hen, a Marans, showed up on our downstairs porch a few weeks ago. Weather was past due to reach freezing temps, so as soon as we returned from Thanksgiving, our coop arrived, and I was my hubby’s trusty assistant as we assembled the coop just in time! It took us about 2 hours, but we were slow because it was getting quite cold. Our fingers were numb, so we were sure that “Miss Honey” was ready to inhabit her new apartment. She is so pleased and warm, and we thank you, Urban Northern, for making a great product.

We did a lot of research before landing on the Lodge coop from Urban Northern. Happy with our choice. Quick response from customer service, quick shipping and assembly that can even be done by a novice. My Spring chicks that I hatched end of April have been thoroughly enjoying it. I also like that it's light enough to move around the yard to give them a fresh patch of grass everyone once in a while.
Stop searching the internet and getting frustrated. Urban Northern’s coops are a must have. Easy to put together and come with predator resistant wiring already installed. Very pleased with my purchase. We have 4 chickens.
